Secrets of Human Bones

Bones or skeleton is supporting the human body. Without bones, your body certainly could not stand up. Bones began to take shape as a baby in the womb, continues until the second decade in a regular arrangement. Here are some facts about your bones.
Number of Your Bones
In total there are 206 bones in our body. Femur is the largest bone in the body. While the stapes is the smallest bone in our bodies.
Your bones are not static
Many people think that their bones do not change and permanent. Actually, our bones are living tissue that periodically (constant) experienced demolition and regeneration.
This is called bone remodeling. In fact, our bones to regenerate total every 7 to 10 years. So your bone age younger than your age!
You Think Your Bones Strong?
The bones in the body are made up of two layers. Strong outer layer and the inner layer is weak. Bone loss is often not realized due to deep in the bone.

Outer layer is strong Cortical Bone, often also called dense bone, which forms a layer that protects the surrounding bone. Is dense and hard, form nearly 80% of the total mass of the skeleton.

Weak inner core, also called spongy bone, trabecular bone is like a honeycomb and is a major part of the bone that forms the inner structure. More porous, less dense and weaker than cortical bone. have a high metabolism so it makes it more easily broken or destroyed.
You lose your Bone Mass every day.
Bone mass reaches its peak at about age 30, when the process of bone destruction (conducted by osteoclas cells) began to occur more rapidly than the process of bone formation (by osteoblasts).

After many years, our bones become thin and fragile. This means a reduction in bone mass density and gradually.
If unknown, this condition can lead to osteoporosis.
What is Osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis (brittle bone disease) is a disease that causes your bones become weak, brittle and easily broken. Sometimes also called razor Disease, a disease that attacks silently, osteoporosis often strikes without signs (to fracture).
The occurrence of fractures in the back (spine), hips and wrists is usually an early sign of osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis, a rising phenomenon!
In the world of 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men over 50 will suffer a fracture due to osteoporosis. In Asia, in 2050, one of two lumbar fractures caused by osteoporosis in the world is estimated to occur in Asia.
